President Obama's Speech
President Obama's speech was inspiring to me and students' all over America as it should have been. I feel the speech was said to keep students motivated to work hard and stay in school. He wanted to tell us it is OK to try new things and fail. We learn from our failures. A lot of the information was stuff we sort of already knew. However, hearing it from the President makes it more powerful. I like how I can relate to him. Obama said that he used to have to get up at 4:30 in the morning for his education. It makes me feel better about getting up so early in the morning everyday to go to school. "I've got to get up early in the morning. I've got to get ready for school. I've got to do this." (William Geist on Yahoo.) I support Barack Obama as a president. I think he is great for this country. I know there are a lot of people out there who disagree. It doesn't matter what we think of him in this case. He is president and we should respect him as our leader. Fox news said "the speech stirred controversy." This is not surprising but it is still ridiculous. The speech he was giving was about staying in school and working hard to earn your way through life. No matter what people believe in, the kids are the next generation. It is important that we are educated.
